Business Analyst- Lawson Supply Chain

POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible for management, maintenance, improvements, and training of end users on the organizations Accounting/Financial systems. Responsible for the coordination, design, modification and implementation additional financial applications that may be implemented which interrelate with the existing Accounting/Financial systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES/DUTIES
Provides end user support for functional and technical issues within Lawson.
 Acts as a liaison between IT staff and end users in defining user requirements and technical specifications in the processes of enhancements and introduction of new Lawson functionality.
Analyzes Accounting/Finance business processes and recommends improvements to end users and department management.
 Educates end users in the Accounting/Finance department on Lawson suite of products including Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Asset Manager, Cash Book and others.
 Prepares training documentation and creates presentations geared towards training end users in Accounting/Finance as applicable.
Keeps up to date on Lawson releases and advises end users on new features and leads retraining around processes.
 Provides testing support to end users and IT staff, works with end users and technical staff in defining testing plans and scope of testing.
 Responsible for systems implementation and maintenance within the Accounting/Finance organization. Works with end users and IT staff in defining scope and timing of enhancement and identifying possible impacts ant timing of upgrades.
 Assist with project assignments and provides period and year end support to Accounting/Finance organization.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
 10 years Lawson Financial experience.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
 Ability to work well in a team environment by accepting and offering constructive feedback, supporting team goals, and encouraging other team members both inside and outside of the Accounting/Finance organization.
 Ability to respond quickly under pressure when problems arise with systems or applications.
 Good project skills both driving and participating.
 
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Information Systems or closely related field with a strong mix of systems. 


5 years experience in application support including analyzing processes and applications within the nalyzing processes and applications within the Lawson Supply Chain applications.

 Preferable experience in healthcare and or hospital industry.
 Strong Microsoft Office skills.
