Our Clinical Laboratory provides diagnostic inpatient and outpatient laboratory services Kennestone Regional Medical Center and our General Laboratory is a fully accredited and licensed clinical laboratory that provides high quality, cost effective, state-of-the art testing services.  We operate 24hrs/day and employ highly trained clinical laboratory professionals to conduct testing in a high volume, fast- paced environment. In addition, we provide routine and STAT services in the following disciplines: 

  • Blood Bank using ORTHO ProVue Systems
  • Hematology Testing using the Sysmex 5000 XE and the Beckman Coulter CellaVision System
  • Chemistry Testing on the Roche Diagnostics  Cobas 8000 Modular Analyzer
  • Urinalysis testing on the  Beckman Coulter Iris  IQ200
  • Coagulation testing on the ACL TOP 700CTS

We are looking for an experienced, degreed and licensed Medical Technologist (MT ONLY) with experience in a hospital setting. This individual performs tests pursuant to established and approved protocols requiring the exercise of independent judgment and responsibilities, maintains equipment and records, perform quality assurance activities related to test performance and may supervise and teach within the lab setting.

Required Minimum Education: Associate Degree in Medical Technology, Bachelors preferred

Required Minimum Certification: Medical Technologist -MT or equivalent from an accrediting agency approved by GDHR (ASCP, HEW, NCA, AMT, AAB or any other approved agency)

Required Minimum Experience:  Six months in a hospital setting preferred, no research labs

Required Minimum Skills:  Independent judgment, analytic priority-setting, troubleshooting, informed decisions
