The PRN Occupational Theray Assistant (COTA) will support the WellStar Enterprise Support Team and is needed to float among multiple WellStar hospitals and outpatient rehabilitation facilities depending on departments’ needs. 

WellStar hospital locations include WS Kennestone in Marietta, WS Cobb in Austell, WS Windy Hill in Marietta, WS Douglas in Douglasville and WS Paulding in Hiram, Georgia.

The occupational therapy assistant works under the direction of the occupational therapist.  The assistant collaborates in planning and implementing rehabilitative programs that help to restore or improve function in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognitive tasks, strength, coordination and range of motion in patients suffering from disease or injury.  Services are provided across the full continuum and rendered in a cost conscious, quality focused and customer oriented manner.  Compliance with all applicable regulatory standards is also required in this role. ​​

Required Minimum Education: Graduate from an accredited occupational therapy assistant program.                                                

Required Licensure:  Current licensure as an occupational therapy assistant in the state of Georgia

Required Minimum Experience: None

Preferred Experience: Two (2) years of work experience as Occupational Therapy Assistant 

Required Minimum Skills: Effective communication skills, customer service focused, team oriented, and basic computer skills.
